I love things like this and  i am delighted to say that i currently live in Las Vegas, Ireland! I wonder would i be better investing my money in Irish banks or Nevada casinos!

The Johnny Cash Project is a global collective art project, and we would love for you to participate. Through this website, we invite you to share your vision of Johnny Cash, as he lives on in your mind’s eye. Working with a single image as a template, and using a custom drawing tool, you’ll create a unique and personal portrait of Johnny. Your work will then be combined with art from participants around the world, and integrated into a collective whole: a music video for “Ain’t No Grave”, rising from a sea of one-of-a-kind portraits.

Strung together and played in sequence over the song, the portraits will create a moving, ever evolving homage to this beloved musical icon.  What’s more, as new people discover and contribute to the project, this living portrait will continue to transform and grow, so it’s virtually never the same video twice.

Ain’t No Grave is Johnny’s final studio recording. The album and its title track deal heavily with themes of mortality, resurrection, and everlasting life. The Johnny Cash Project pays tribute to these themes. Through the love and contributions of the people around the world that Johnny has touched so deeply, he appears once again before us.

This is one of the best uses of 3D mapping we’ve seen and it has caused us serious campaign envy. Hyundai have really upped the ante on this project, showing their competitors how it’s done! In just three days the video has had close to 100,000 hits on youtube, vimeo and other channels and has been name checked in blogs across the world. We love it, well done Hyundai!

What is a Live Events Manager

We are looking for the perfect person to ensure that our campaigns are activated perfectly. You will co-ordinate all of the live event activation from logistics to brand ambassador management. You will manage the teams working on the current live events. You will be the link between the office and the events. You will work closely with the client managers to ensure that every campaign is an absolute success. You will be based in the office but will be very involved on live campaigns in the field. You will be working initially on a 4 month contract.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring client campaigns are updated daily
• Editing and uploading media clips to client websites daily
• Working closely with the client management to ensure client expectations are met
• Coordinating daily activities for Brand Ambassadors that meet client briefs
• Preparing kits and coordinating logistics

I love social media as can be seen by my addictions to twitter, facebook, foursquare and even linkedin. I love the interaction with like minded people who i have never met in person and probably never will. I’ve had some really inspiring ‘digital’ conversations that i could not have had in person. I can definitely see the importance of social media in the marketing and purchasing process but i think people need to stop getting carried away. I believe (and thankfully so do the IXMA) that personal recommendations are trusted much more than social media interactions.

An experiential marketing campaign can hugely benefit from a good social media strategy in terms of amplification but i feel that purchasing decisions are made easier if there is a physical and live presence. It is with this in mind that brands must not get carried away with tactics and plan an overall strategy that uses the correct media at the correct time to improve communication with the consumer.
