Flossie.com

October 28, 2008

To show that Flossie.com has something for every woman, they created a Man Vending Machine – the world’s first. It’s an authentic vending machine adapted to dispense real live men on a busy inner city street. Women could choose their favourite flavour of man – rich, foreign, action, classic or romantic – press the button and a genuinely single guy emerged from the machine to take her on a date. The machine also had a ‘Mr Perfect’ function which gave out free vibrators. Because whatever you need, it’s on us – even men.

I would love to know what the uptake on this would be in Ireland. Would it cause a stir of controversy or would people embrace the humour? I would like to think people would find it funny but i have a feeling the phone lines and Joe Duffy’s show would be jammers!

Big Brother is texting you!

Big Brother Bluetooth Campaign Australia

After a week out of the office, i’m back!

Having spent the whole week sitting on the couch and gingerly hobbling around Sandymount following my operation i attended the IIA Congress. I will put up a post about the event when i can.

Spotted this campaign from Big Brother in Australia. Very good use of bluetooth technology. I am not sure what the regulations for sending unsolicited text messages in Australia are but i think it is a clever hook. Do you think this would work in Ireland? To be honest it could be used for numerous competitions and launches. No doubt it will be replicated very quickly!
